The Toothbrush
I spent the week at my parents’ place in NorCal. When I was packing for home, I decided just to bring nothing but a week’s worth of clothes and my laptop; I figure I’d only be gone for a week and that anything else I need (like food and toiletries) were already at my parents’ anyway.
So I come home and, as expected, everything is good to go; the fridge is stocked with food, there is soap and shampoo in the shower, and the toothbrush that I left from the last time I visit home is still there. Perfect.
A couple days ago by and everything is fine.. until one night:
